A Perfect Day

Have you ever had the most perfect day and didn't want it to end? Well, that was how my Saturday was this weekend. I was up early and off to Onset, my favorite place for my morning walks - it was a beautiful day. The sun was shining, the tide was very high with calm waters and kayaks were already out and about. I listened to the birds singing for a bit and then plugged in my ipod to keep me moving with some funky tunes. Later on, Tony & I decided to go blueberry picking as he had never been. The sun was playing peek-a-boo with the clouds so it wasn't too hot, just perfect for the task at hand. We picked 10lbs of blueberries, yum yum!

But our day wasn't over - we hurried home, showered and hoped the forecasted thunderstorms would stay at bay because we had to complete our evening at Gillette Stadium rocking to Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band. We found our seats, settled in and boom, bang, crash - thunder, lightning and pouring buckets of rain. No worries - the show was delayed till 9:30 but Bruce rocked the house till almost 12:30. He is such a performer - played to the cameras and even took requests form sign-holding fans. Wow, what a thrill for the fans at the front of the stage because he played with them alot! Funny, I grew up loving dance music (still do) but my tastes have broadened as I've gotten older, thank goodness because it would have been a shame to miss this incredible night. It was a great show, an anniversary gift (June) I gave to my husband as he is such a fan and has turned me into one too. Thank you, my dear sweet Tony for the most perfect day!

Tell me about your perfect day....
