A New Business

After working for many years as an architect for other companies, Anthi decided it was time to venture out on her own and start her own company. It's challenging to start your own business and there are so many things to take care. First things first, along with building her new website she needed a new business portrait. So, she came to the studio the other day. While getting to know her a bit more, I asked her how she wanted to be portrayed - she said, approachable and friendly, casual but not too casual. I suggested she bring several shirts and I had several backgrounds that I thought looked best with her outfits. We spent about half an hour photographing and these are a few of the ones she chose. (She ended up with 5 different images, to be used for different media purposes.) This black and white image is great for a newspaper or trade magazine press release.

Anthi mentioned that she listens alot to her clients but will also need to talk alot discussing ideas. As she's talking she ends up using her hands so much and we thought it would be great to photograph her that way. Natural, relaxed, friendly - She loved it! We also loved the orange shirt with the blue background since it will coordinate with the colors on her website. She really looked lovely in that orange shirt - I think it's her new color!

Finally, tools of the trade - her scale. We also had her tracing paper and blackberry but the simplicity of her scale just worked best. If you're looking for an architect be sure and give Anthi a call.

How do you want to be portrayed? What's your business portrait look like? Need a new one, give me a call and let's chat.

Thanks, Anthi! Best of luck to you with your new venture.
