Let 'em...

...eat cake! A beautiful cake at that. Jenn's baby shower was this past Sunday and I was responsible for getting the cake. Oh, the cake...hmmm...what should I do. I knew I didn't want a sheet cake. I needed something really special for my darling daughter. So, I began my search online looking at cake photos. I found my inspiration photo (altho it was pink and white - we needed blue) and took it along to meet my cake maker. I also brought Jenn's invitation as it was a cool design with teal and brown and flowers climbing up a vine. So, I must give a huge shout-out to Meredith of The Artisan Kitchen in Rochester as she exceeded my expectations! I was in love with a cake ;-) (I really do love cake - oh, a bad bad sweet tooth!) welcome sign for Beckett - this cake was gorgeous! It was layers of chocolate and vanilla cake inside with buttercream between each layer...yummy. It tasted as delicious as it looks.

Well, Jenn loved the cake as did all the guests. It was a huge hit!
